What I currently work on:

I currently handle the talent acquisition for UnitedHealth Group in Gurgaon and Mumbai. I take care of the recruitment strategy planning function. I’m responsible for delivery of talent for Technology, Claims, and other functions.

This job varies from similar roles I have held in that this job offers more independence and is more challenging, but also comes with more ownership and responsibility.

What it takes to be successful:

To be successful in this job you have to be able to multitask.  In my role I deal with various projects at one time—projects that are global, regional, and site specific with different tolerances. Logic, creativity, and execution are also important success factors.  In my role I deal with various countries and customers, hence being logical and creative is a way to show that my team and I add value.  Also speed is important in my work area because execution plays an important role to establish credibility.  Self Motivation is also a helpful characteristic because I work out of London and India, with and without team being around me. In such a scenario where one is dealing with various projects with steep deadlines and no team around, one has to be self motivated to ensure delivery.
