What I do:
I mentor, coach, and inspire a group of mid-level providers in my organization. I also provide medical care for the aging, vulnerable, and chronically ill individuals living in nursing homes and the community.
How I make a difference:
I make a difference by improving health outcomes, increasing quality, and providing cost effective care to our enrollees’ which yields strong results.
Why my job is great:
It cultivates and promotes a culture of clinical excellence.
The challenges of my job:
What’s challenging about my job is at times, dealing with conflict.
How I impact my community:
I’m a member of the Atlanta Black Nurses Association. This gives me many opportunities to give back and serve my community. I participate in various health fairs in the community during the year. I also give back to my church community, and I’m a parent volunteer in my son’s Boy Scout troop.
What’s great about me:
I’m great because my parents raised me to have strong work ethics, morals, and values. I’ve been fortunate to surround myself with great people. I recently completed a leadership development program where I was privileged to have two tremendous mentors (internal and external), which resulted in an intense sparkle for leadership.
Little known fact about me:
I was born in New Jersey and I’m the oldest of three daughters.
