• Programming /Application Development skills for IT professionals with .Net experience and C# capabilities continue to be in great demand. Java J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate and Webservice coupled with BEA/IBM Portal System and MVC Framework. Candidates with those skills will continue to have multiple choice assignments with us this year.
• Telecommunications skills like VoIP and projects involving unified communications continue to drive demand for blended telecommunications and networking skills.
• We will continue to have robust demand for IT Project Managers with solid track records who can articulate that they’ve brought a project in “on time” or better yet, under budget and how you did it.

This past year we unveiled the UnitedHealth Group Connected Care mobile clinic. What looks like an ordinary 18-wheeler, is actually a mobile virtual doctor’s office, filled with the latest high-tech medical equipment and broadband and satellite communications technology – using some of the same communications technology as NASA’s space shuttles! In fact, voice, video and data from the truck travels between the Earth and satellite – 44,600 miles round-trip, or one-fifth the distance from the Earth to the Moon – in about a quarter second at the speed of light. Our UHG IT Technology development group has played a major roll in expanding this technology to many rural sections of this country……. because we believe distance should never keep anyone from the care they need.
