What I do:
I work on the pricing of our products in three different states.
How I make a difference:
By pricing our products at fair prices so more people can afford health care coverage.
Why my job is great:
I have a good balance of project based work and routine tasks.
The challenges of my job:
Adapting to changes is part of working at UnitedHealth Group, and those changes often present new challenges.
How I impact my community:
I impact my community by getting involved in the opportunities to give back with my time and money. UnitedHealth Group arranges a lot of volunteering events, so it’s easy to find ways to give back to the community. I’ve also made an impact by getting involved in the United Giving Campaign at UnitedHealth Group. The United Giving Campaign is an easy way to donate to charities, and UnitedHealth Group matches each employee’s donation.
What makes this a greater place to work:
I didn’t know until after starting to work at UnitedHealth Group just how hard we work to help our members live healthier lives.
What’s great about me:
Like many of my co-workers, I’m ambitious. I have good work ethic, and I take great pride in a job well done. I measure myself by my accomplishments, and I’m driven by the goals I set. If I don’t succeed right away, I have the tenacity to pick myself up and try again.
Little known fact about me:
Many people are surprised to learn that a mathematically minded person like me also loves pottery and photography.
Words I live by:
It’s amazing where a little education and a ton of ambition can take you.
