Description
The Technology Innovation Liaison will assist in the definition and execution of an ITIL based strategy to review and communicate requirements both to and from the business which will affect internal and external teams to the enterprise. The incumbent will also work with customers to document SLAs and ensure agreed upon SLAs are met. This position will also focus on ensuring proper resources are assigned and issues are resolved in accordance with SLAs. In addition, this position interacts with all levels of technology and business communities, including executives. Other core responsibilities include:
- Understanding business goals and application requirements
- Ensuring application availability, stability, accuracy and performance
- Providing appropriate application monitoring
- Managing resolution of issues, root cause analysis and on-call support
- Maintaining knowledge of the technical architecture for the applications
- Creating communication vehicles for all stakeholders with respect to application issues
- Project planning and resource management
- Driving problem investigation and resolution in a war room setting as required
Qualifications
Requirements:
· Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
· 6 + years of experience within the application support profession
· 6 + years of direct experience as a successful technology professional in either the software development and/or application support function
· Proven success leading projects within complex application environments
· Demonstrated team building, coaching and mentoring skills
· Experience using structured software development methodologies
· Experience creating processes and Service Level Agreements
· Proven project planning skills, evidenced by a track record of delivering projects on time
· Experience with application monitoring tools
Assets:
- Prior experiences working in the healthcare industry preferred
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and/or ITIL certification
- Ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment
- Willingness to lead the application support function (vs. a pure software development team)
- Well honed verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to interact with leaders from both business and technology communities
- Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills
- Success in relationship building and maintenance over an extended period of time based on trust
