Senior IT Business Analyst - Irvine, CA - 371665



Description

Position Description:
 
Positions in this function work in the business analysis phase of the system development cycle and consult with users to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes. For employees working in the analysis phase to prepare detailed specifications, use the Systems Analysis function.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key resource to investigate and resolve complex and/or critical issues
  • Provide project and analytical support
  • Lead small and medium projects
  • Provide cost/benefit analysis for presentation to management (IT and Business)
  • Recommend solutions to issues and business problems
  • Facilitate the collaboration of stakeholders, especially the ability to effectively manage client/customers
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for process improvements
  • Determine and define business requirements based on government regulations and business needs
  • Liaison between the business unit and the IT department
  • Provide leadership to resolve complex issues with business users
  • Communicate with audiences and SMEs at all levels of management to provide project results/options

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of IT Business Analyst experience
  • 3+ years experience gathering & writing business requirements
  • 3+ years experience working directly with customers/stakeholders
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience
  • 3+ years experience working on application development projects
  • 3+ years of Project Coordination or Project Management experience
Assets:
  • Healthcare experience
  • Claims platform experience
  • Pharmaceutical experience
  • Experience with MS Visio
