What type of benefits does UnitedHealth Group offer?

UnitedHealth Group offers competitive health and well-being benefits for regular full-time and part-time employees. The company contributes to the cost of medical, vision and dental coverage for you and your dependents. You pay a portion of these costs on a pre-tax basis via convenient payroll deductions, unless otherwise noted as after-tax.

Does UnitedHealth Group have a 401K? Is there a match associated with this?

Eligible employees participate on the first day of employment and are automatically enrolled at a contribution rate of 3 percent of eligible pay. If you choose, you can choose to contribute up to 50 percent or decline your automatic enrollment. After completing one year of service, you will be eligible to receive company matching contributions to help your retirement savings grow faster.

UnitedHealth Group's Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) gives eligible employees the opportunity to purchase shares of UnitedHealth Group common stock at a discount twice a year through automatic payroll deductions.

UnitedHealth Group offers three consumer-driven medical options with different premiums, deductibles, and out-of pocket maximums that apply under them. The covered medical services are the same under all of the coverage options, and each option allows you to obtain covered medical services from network and non-network providers.

The Vision Plan offers coverage for vision services and materials, including eye exams, frames, lenses and contact lenses, and offers you the choice of two coverage options.

Does UnitedHealth Group offer a Dental Plan?

The Dental Plan offers two coverage options, both of which allow you to obtain dental services from network and non-network providers. However, you’ll receive a higher level of benefits when you see a network provider. If you anticipate that your child (up to age 19) will need orthodontia services in 2009, you will want to consider the Comprehensive Option.

UnitedHealth Group offers 2 major medical plans with HSA options. There is also a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (Health Care FSA), the Limited-Purpose Health Care FSA and the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA) let you put pre-tax money aside from each of your paychecks to pay for certain eligible health care and dependent care expenses. You choose how much you’ll contribute to your account throUnitedHealth Group payroll deductions.

How much vacation do you get at UnitedHealth Group?

Under UnitedHealth Group’s Personal Time Off (PTO) program, you’re granted a set number of PTO days to use when you’re away from your job for personal, sick or vacation time. The amount of PTO you accumulate is based on your length of service, job grade, and the number of hours you are regularly scheduled per week.

Basic Term Life Insurance with Accidental Death and Dismemberment(AD&D): UnitedHealth Group provides you, as a full-time employee, with 2x basic term life insurance with AD&D coverage.

Supplemental Term Life Insurance with AD&D: If you are a regular full-time employee, you may purchase supplemental term life with AD&D coverage on an after-tax basis up to a maximum of $2,000,000 (basic and supplemental combined).

Dependent Term Life Insurance with AD&D: If you are a regular full-time employee, you may purchase dependent term life insurance with AD&D coverage on an after-tax basis for your spouse/domestic partner and/or child(ren).
