As an UX Designer, you will work within a collaborative cross-functional project team in an agile environment to design portals, applications and other web properties. You will be expected to contribute to the user experience vision and strategy while following a user-centered design process to ensure a remarkable user experience. 

In order to be successful, you must have an eye for detail, strong design sense, and embrace rapid prototyping and testing with users as an approach to creating the best design. Be able to clearly communicate the value of your designs, and findings from user research, to the rest of the team.

You will need to:

  • Design key interactions starting with user insights, clickable prototypes, and finally producing pixel perfect designs
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, site maps, feature lists, specifications and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience
  • Effectively represent the voice of the user by participating in and leading user research in order to influence and improve design decisions
  • Be comfortable working in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment that includes other designers and strategists
  • Present work to leaders and boarder team for feedback and iteration
  • Contribute to building our brand on portals, applications and other web properties by executing user interface design consistently on all deliverables
  • Research, analyze and interpret data to conceive and document user experience requirements needed for design implementation


Candidate will possess: 

  • 4 + years of experience designing user interfaces following user-centered design methodology and human factors principles 
  • Portfolio of past UX/IA artifacts/deliverables including task flows, site maps, wireframes, etc.
  • Demonstrated success defining the architecture, navigation, user flows, experience and information/interaction designs that effectively and directly solve customer needs
  • Proven ability to understand and translate usability research findings into design solutions
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and software for prototyping such as Axure, Keynote, Omnigraffle or similar tool
  • Familiarity with programming languages HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Track record of working with software engineers to make design concepts a reality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams both inside and outside the organization
  • High energy, positive attitude, intellectual curiosity and flexibility to work in a start-up environment
  • Experience working with Agile methodology and designing for Mobile and/or Responsive Web desired
  • Previous involvement using data to inform and tailor user experiences to specific individuals preferred
  • Knowledge and practical application of accessibility factors, per ADA, Section 508 requirements and W3C WAI guidelines of value
  • Preference given to those with experience designing high-volume transaction processing B2C eCommerce sites
  • Undergraduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent experiences
