Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable business structures and strategies (e.g., business segments, Benefits vs. Services, interrelationships)
  • Conduct appropriate requirement analysis to ensure full understanding of training content and objectives prior to delivery (e.g., train-the-trainer, facilitator guide, real-world examples, rehearsal)
  • Collaborate with appropriate resources (e.g., instructional designers, business partners, SMEs, business leadership) to facilitate development of appropriate learning objectives and curricula
  • Set appropriate expectations for all applicable stakeholders (e.g., business leaders, learners, Training) to ensure ongoing support and achievement of learning objectives
  • Identify, understand and prepare the appropriate training solutions to ensure effective learning
  • Leverage Subject Matter Experts as needed to ensure that appropriate learning content is accurate and current
  • Review the established facilitation approach and verify that it meets the learning styles and needs of the audience
  • Ensure that the logistics of the learning environment are completed and in place (e.g., rosters, technology, room arrangements/configuration, learning materials) -Obtain/confirm required licenses/copyright approvals for training materials, as needed
  • Obtain knowledge of applicable emergency procedures at the learning site (e.g., inclement weather protocols, medical emergencies, building evacuation procedures)
  • Conduct train-the-trainer activities to prepare others for effectively
  • Lead a team of Instructional designers through the entire ID project cycle
  • Conduct audience analysis (e.g., target audiences, current skills, performance gaps, special needs, prior knowledge, attitudes)
  • Identify and communicate potential challenges/obstacles to successful business outcomes (e.g., leadership buy-in, timing, cost, scope, change management, technology requirements, incentives)
  • Identify and communicate appropriate solutions needed to address identified business issues and needs (e.g., training, coaching, policy changes, system changes, process/procedure changes, compliance issues, documentation issues, incentive issues, leadership issues, organization structure)
  • Determine project goals/milestones based on identified business needs/timelines, and obtain appropriate approvals (e.g., go/no-go decisions, checkpoints)
  • Identify measurement approaches and mechanisms to evaluate success of the solution (e.g., quality scores, sales conversion rates, call volumes, order volume)
  • Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs to determine appropriate training content (e.g., products, processes, tools, skills needed)
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills
    • Hands-on experience of 4+ years with online learning including tools such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Lectora, SnagIT, and others
    • Hands-on experience of making videos using any of these tools – Camtasia, VideoScribe, Powtoon, etc.
    • Proficient computer skills including MS Word and PowerPoint
    • Awareness of LMS and LCMS standards
  • Process Specific
    • Proven experience with designing and developing online learning solutions, both synchronous and asynchronous
    • Good knowledge of basic ID principles such as ADDIE, Bloom’s taxonomy, Adult Learning Principles, Gagne’s 9 events etc.
    • Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision-making abilities
    • Ability to design curriculum
    • Ability to design or develop serious games (game-based quizzes)
    • Awareness of gamification frameworks
    • Design Thinking
    • Project and stakeholder management
