The Manager of Revenue Cycle Processes provides leadership for specific/specialized areas within the broader Revenue Cycle. The Revenue Cycle Manager will develop strategies to improve the registration. Coding, billing, cash applications, collection and customer contact processes, assist in implementing process improvements, monitor and report on status to key stakeholders, and develop and implement the integrated policies and procedures for Revenue Cycle. This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing system reports to achieve departmental goals, objectives and meet service level agreements with each hospital or clinic. This also includes setting the overall expectations for quality of work, professional conduct, and customer service.
This position requires experience relating to implementing improvements within a hospital/Clinic or health system’s revenue cycle. The manager will be expected to provide leadership to identify, quantify, implement and measure specific improvement initiatives and will have specialized skills one or more of the following areas:
- Patient Access/Registration
- HIM/Coding
- Business Office Operations for Hospitals and/or Clinics
If you live or able to live in the Golden Valley MN regional area to perform onsite requirements, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide input to Director to help manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals
- Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department and overall Revenue Cycle
- Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies
- Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects
- Direct staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports
- Coach and provide career development advice to staff
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Results driven; accountable for achieving departmental performance standards as dictated in policies and procedures
- Provides daily observation and guidance
- Focused on providing the highest possible level of customer satisfaction in every transaction
- Facilitates effective staff meetings at regular intervals
- Is cognizant of staff training needs and involved in facilitating training and development on an ongoing basis through formal continuing education and informal coaching
- Motivates staff to be successful; promotes a work environment that is collegial and enjoyable in their department

Required Qualifications:
- High School/GED
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- 3+ years of experience with computerized hospital clinical and financial systems (EMR)
- Comprehensive knowledge of billing rules and regulations as well as insurance payer requirements
- Demonstrated ability to organize/prioritize work effectively, utilize numerous data sources, lead/facilitate teams, effectively problem solve complex issues
- Willing or ability to report onsite to our facility location in Golden Valley MN at least twice a month or more as business needs dictate
- Live in the Golden Valley MN regional area to accommodate onsite obligations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skilled Nursing or Transitional Rehab facility experience
- Experience processing claims for skilled nursing facilities
- Customer service experience
- Medical terminology

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
