Professionals with Disabilities

The Professionals With Disabilities Dialogue Group aims to contribute to an environment where there is respect, equity, accessibility and innovative experiences for all people.

Ethnic Equity

The Ethnic Equity Group has the objective of being an instrument to foment racial diversity, promote the feeling of representation of black people and aiming for positive impacts so that the health system works for all.

Generations

The Generations Group seeks to make UnitedHealth Group, and its clients, partners, suppliers and beneficiaries aware of the opportunities for interaction and exchange of experiences, knowledge and development among different generations, valuing the differences between them.

LGBTQ+

Aims to create a repertoire for everyone to develop an inclusive attitude towards LGBT + people. Promote healthy, inclusive relationships in a non-discriminatory environment regarding sexual orientation and / or gender identity.

Multicultural

This Group promotes initiatives to our employees, in order to being open to knowing each other, respecting cultural beliefs and differences, practicing our values and promoting a multicultural and welcoming environment.

Gender Equity

The goal of the Gender Equity Group is to implement gender awareness initiatives in order to create a network of support and equal opportunity for women, aiming at career development.

The Importance of Partnerships

Along with attending flagship conferences, chapter events, and career fairs, UnitedHealth Group has strong partnerships with local chapters of many national organizations such as The National Black MBA Association, Prospanica, Reaching Out MBA, The Forum on Workplace Inclusion and National Sales Network conferences. Our recruiters take action to bring diversity to our workforce by: 

  • Leveraging online resources to seek out the best talent such as posting and sourcing top candidates from diversity specific job boards.
  • Working with agencies, education and government programs that support and serve candidates with disabilities such as Welfare to Work and Lifeworks.
  • Integrating programs that prepare diverse communities for the workforce.

College students today are the leaders of tomorrow. We're supporting a future of diverse representation in many ways, including:

  • Sponsoring interns from INROADS, an international, nonprofit organization that places talented college students of color in internships with companies across the nation.
  • Hosting an annual Campus Talent Summit, a summer mentorship program for diverse students.
  • Supporting our Diverse Scholars Program which awarded nearly $2 Million in scholarships to 175 diverse students pursuing health careers.
  • Offering several programs in varying career areas from internships and full-time roles across the entire global organization.
