Assist Distribution Operations Center (DOC) Manager with daily warehouse operations, planning and implementation to ensure all production standards are met.  The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the overall performance, productivity and development of DOC staff and well as lead inventory and procurement efforts for warehouse locations.   


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the oversight of warehouse operations within the DOC including Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
  • Lead Procurement efforts and proactively consult with business on upcoming needs, as applicable
  • Management of inventory across multiple warehouse locations
  • Promote process improvement and implement lean six sigma practices.
  • Supervise daily shift(s) work activities of DOC warehouse staff.  Allocate labor resources across all shifts to ensure daily production and contract requirements are met.
  • Establish, implement and monitor work performance metrics for all DOC staff.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documents.
  • Responsible for training and development of warehouse staff across all functional areas.
  • Assist with performance counseling and timesheet management of DOC staff.
  • Motivate and promote a positive work environment for all DOC staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment

  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory or leadership role demonstrating the ability to lead and direct others to achieve or exceed individual and organizational goals and objectives

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Excel (general navigation, data entry and sorting data in columns), Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar)

  • Knowledge of safety standards in a warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift certification
  • Knowledge of cold chain management
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 principles
  • Database experience
  • National Career Readiness Certificate

  • Possess strong organizational skills and knowledge of inventory management and processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrate time management skills and the ability to prioritize daily work tasks and forecasted business objectives.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve moderate to high level problems.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements.

  • Effectively lead a team to meet business objectives while promoting a positive work environment.

  • Ability to work on your feet all day and lift-up to 35 pounds on regular basis.
