The VP of CSI Operations is responsible for the strategic and tactical management and administration of multiple functions that service both OptumRx Commercial Direct customers as well as UHC as a strategic customer. These functions include personnel management for five departments totaling 140+ EE.s both on and offshore. Departments include:
Production Operations: Responsible for data entry and QA teams who analyze and enter customer demographic and benefit data into the RxCCR application for use by OptumRx (ORx) and UHC service channels, including call centers and portals.
Benefit Triage and Platform services: Teams in this department take in and triage benefit requests (e.g.; to be built benefits) from UHC for UHC customers. Team also owns the applications that service these functions and owns the business capabilities management for ongoing application improvement lifecycle and strategy to meet changing business needs.
Project Management Office: This area services ongoing UHC project demands through teams of Project managers, business analysts and testing resources. The PMO manages at any given time approximately 75 active UHC initiatives including many sensitive regulatory projects.
This area also works closely with OptumRx Product and provides Product Operational Readiness assessments to ensure product roll out has considered all operational impacts to ensure flawless execution. This is accomplished through process management across 50 functional areas of OptumRx.
PDL Management: Team works in concert with UnitedHealth Care Pharmacy (UHCP) to operationalize strategic pharmacy strategies across financial, clinical and regulatory domains. Area supports approximately 350M in UHC affordability through their pharmacy strategies.
Shared Services: Department support’s all of CSI through various functions including training, documentation, communications and reporting functions.
