Data Loading Specialist - Richardson, TX (886531)

Data Loading Analysts (DLAs) are responsible for various loading activities related to the provider network database (NDB).  DLAs make informed decisions to deliver quality results and are responsible for properly maintaining the provider data housed in our core systems to allow for proper claim payment and member directory information. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Utilize database systems and tools to enter and/or research provider data in NDB
  • Receive data from multiple inbound sources
  • Interpret instructions that accompany the inbound data
  • Review system results to determine whether keyed data is correct or updates are necessary
  • Contact internal or external data submitter to verify/clarify information and/or data to be entered, when required
  • Research multiple databases to pull in the correct or needed information.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business strategies, rules, and procedures (e.g., attend training)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and apply business strategies, rules, and procedures as appropriate (e.g., determine whether to reject or accept data prior to entry)
  • Participate in applicable ad hoc projects, as assigned
  • Consistently meet target production, quality and time utilization metrics

Required Qualifications 
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 6+ months customer service experience
  • 6+ months computer navigation skills experience utilizing Microsoft Office (MS Excel and MS Word with the ability to create, edit, send, save documents and MS Outlook with the ability to manage emails and calendars)
  • 1+ years of data entry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) experience with provider data (demographic and/or contractual)
  • Experience in a medical office setting or a corporate environment
  • Experience working in an environment that included having accountability for meeting metrics
  • Experience with dual monitor environment
