IHR is developing an exciting new technology platform that will enable health plans, clinical practices, and all who provide patient care better use of patient health data to drive better treatment decision support, higher clinical quality, a reduction in treatment variation, fewer gaps in care, and improved affordability.  This platform bridges the traditional divide between providers and payers and will transform the ways in which each person's health care is delivered and experienced.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working very closely with Architecture group and driving technical solutions
  • Be innovative in solution design and development to meet the needs of the business
  • Address the performance issues and design the solutions to meet low latency needs
  • Use Big data technologies to enrich and transform data and do data analytics, machine learning
  • Lead technology decisions, drive product implementation and delivery
  • Support the implementation and drive it to stable state in production
  • Provide alternate design solutions along with project estimates
  • Reviewing code and providing feedback relative to best practices, improving performance etc.
  • Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
  • Demonstrate substantial depth of knowledge and experience in a specific area of Big Data and Java development
  • Drive the team and collaborate to meet project timelines
  • Discuss issues and questions related to claims data analysis, issue documentation; work with business stakeholders to review and resolve these issues.
  • Provide assistance to team members with issues needing technical expertise and/or programming knowledge
  • Assist in continuous integration experience (for example tools like Jenkins, GitHub, SVN, Testing Tools)

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of ETL experience working with EDI transactions such as 834,837,271,272,276,277,278
  • 3+ years hands-on expertise with Big Data technologies
  • Big Data Application Development specific skills: Spark, Scala, Map Reduce, SQL, Python
  • Experience communicating and interacting with all levels of personnel within the organization, including senior management, IT, and end-users
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid Exposure to distributed technologies (Kafka, Spark)
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts
  • Healthcare experience
