Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement statistical and/or machine learning approaches to support research efforts
  • Document research findings thoroughly and maintain well organized code on github
  • Collaborate within cross-disciplinary research teams including business-facing leaders and expert domain scientists
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of audiences
  • Leverage analytics and challenge the status quo while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Design, code and execute programs to extract, aggregate and manipulate pharmacy and medical claims from various sources, identify data integrity issues
  • Develop new and maintain existing SAS programs to analyze healthcare claims to support ad hoc data requests, including data processing, data cleansing and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
  • Transform data and/or develop insights for use in business decisions
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, ideas and information relating to current data analysis technologies
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in developing machine learning, deep learning and/or NLP based application
  • Experience with inferential statistics and predictive modeling
  • Experience applying a broad range of statistical, mathematical, or computational approaches using data to solve problems
  • Experience translating research questions or business requirements into actionable work
  • Solid proficiency in advanced data science tools such as R , Python, Spark, SQL
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures
