The Business Process Consultant is a role in the Clinical Solutions – Data Operations team and will be responsible for driving global execution of scaled data processes required to deliver the risk adjustment and quality services. Within this broader team, the key responsibility accountability for the Business Process Consultant will be execution of data operations process controls and performance metric reporting. 

Optum is looking for a curious, critical thinking & initiative-taking individual who is proactive in taking responsibility accountability for business process management and performance to operational, client and quality standards.   

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Provide end-to-end business process execution for the Clinical Solutions Data Operations business. 
  • Drive continuous development of existing processes as well as develop new processes to meet emerging business needs. 
  • Work collaboratively, and in partnership with a broad spectrum of business partners to ensure flawless execution of business processes across the full end-to-end spectrum of the Clinical Solutions Data Operations business.  
  • Perform capacity planning and operational reporting and introduce new and innovative ideas to promote growth and value across the business. 
  • Proactively support and facilitate the development of business process documentation  

Required Qualifications 

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited University or College or equivalent working experience. 
  • Experience analyzing and solving customer problems. 
  • Experience leading Data Quality initiatives and execution of end-to-end business process execution. 
  • Proven track record of developing, executing and monitoring business process controls to meet and exceed customer expectations 

Additional Desired Qualifications 

  • Working knowledge of the US Healthcare Industry. 
  • Certification or training related to Business Process Management & Data Quality. 
  • Experience in configuring and leading business workstreams. 
  • Experience of using of Talend, Rundeck or PowerBi.
