The Optum Consumer Office focuses on delivering exceptional digital experiences and building capabilities that enhance consumer satisfaction, engagement and loyalty across various digital touchpoints. As a senior manager of digital products, you will be a key driver in the development and enhancement of our digital products, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences and driving business value. In this individual contributor role, you will lead product initiatives, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and champion the needs of our users. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the direction of our digital products, contribute to strategic decision-making, and make a meaningful impact on our organization’s success.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Product Strategy: Drive the strategic vision for digital products, aligned with business goals and user needs
  • Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features and enhancements based on user research, market analysis, and business objectives
  • Roadmap Development: Maintain product roadmaps, communicating priorities and timelines to stakeholders
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and other teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives
  • Agile Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet user needs
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in the review of the product during the development phase and pre- and post-launch to ensure it meets specified requirements, best practices and standards to satisfy the customer
  • User Experience (UX) Optimization: Advocate for user-centered design principles, supporting user research and usability testing to inform product decisions
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital products, iterating based on data-driven insights
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product strategy, digital best practices, roadmap updates, milestones and challenges to stakeholders and external partners as needed, fostering transparency and alignment

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management
  • Experience with meeting established goals and metrics to drive product decisions and measure success
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven solid problem-solving skills, Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven passion for user experience
  • Proven track record of delivering successful digital products or features and a solid understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset, with the ability to use data
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex challenges and find innovative solutions
  • Proven experience with Agile development methodologies, including scrum or kanban

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
