We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Sr. Director of Software Engineering to lead our dynamic engineering team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and innovation, capable of driving our software development initiatives to new heights.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the software engineering strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction and architectural oversight for complex software projects
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation and optimize team productivity
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of software quality and performance
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in software development processes
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of innovation
  • Global Staff Management: Oversee and manage a geographically dispersed engineering team
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead efforts in recruiting top engineering talent to build a world-class team
  • Talent Management: Develop and implement strategies for talent development and retention
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks. (React, Python, Java, Node, Go)
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing engineering teams
  • Project Management: Solid project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-Solving: Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Cloud Engineering: Extensive experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native development

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or similar
  • Open Source Contributions: Active participation in open source projects or communities
  • Technology Transformation: Led complex technology transformation programs and migrated applications from On-Prem to Cloud
