Senior Collections Representative – National Remote

Will serve as the Revenue Integrity and PA Quality Analyst from a collections perspective to confirm a path to payment from authorization placed in the binoculars or from a risk booked claim. Responsible for the accurate and timely follow – up of authorizations being entered into the binoculars, including research, document collection, review of accuracy and notification to appropriate teams. Identify trends and report those trends to leadership for resolution and to reduce authorization adjustments.

This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any shift between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review authorizations from all payers.
• Proven ability to do root cause analysis and associated troubleshooting.
• Provide guidance on correcting authorizations to lead to a path to payment.
• Follow up on corrections submitted to ensure prompt / timely payment and escalate issues as necessary.
• Evaluates prior authorization adjustments to determine if accurate.
• Assist with payer projects.
• Initiate prior authorization adjustments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Adheres to Regulatory / Payor Guidelines and policies & procedures.
• Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs quality analysis to identify and reports individual and department training opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 2+ years of Home Infusion Accounts Receivable experience
• Ability to work any shift between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Preferred Qualifications:

• Home Infusion front end experience, including benefits verification and prior authorization

Telecommuting Requirements: 

• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) 
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word 
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Outlook
