Position in this function manages security function as an effective enabling function at UHG. The role is responsible for:
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Physical Security of sites to protect assets and information
- Incident and crisis management
- Manage man guarding security
- Executive protection and travel security
- Ensure compliance related to applicable labour laws and organization policies
- Business Continuity Management from corporate security perspective
- Actively participate in Occupation, Health & Safety programs
- Support safety initiatives
- Support event security
- Participate in audits – ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001
- Stake holder management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Effective and efficient management of all aspects of day-to-day Security /protection and assurance of UHG India assets (physical and logical) and its personnel, contractors, 3rd parties and visitors
- Stake holder management which includes site leads, cross functional partners, and business leaders
- Provide expertise on physical security with appropriate local key business units and individuals that assures compliance with regulatory requirements and best management practices
- Gather information regarding Security risks, undertake risk evaluation / prioritisation and disseminate this information to the relevant business units or key individuals accordingly
- Undertake and monitor business impact and operational risk assessment
- Coordinate and/or conduct security related investigations as well as manage security issues and incidents
- Support the business in implementation of the Corporate Security Policies / Standards and the appropriate local policies, programs, procedures, and guidelines to prevent or minimise losses and business disruptions
- Assist in implementing practices and procedures for employees and visitors to UHG India sites
- Manage the compliance with all Corporate Security policies and locally applicable legislation
- Establish working relationships with key individuals in other support functions and leaders across all the sites regarding Security and Health & Safety matters appropriately
- Plan, co-ordinate and supervise operational security activities and projects
- Maintain effective structure; provide advice during emergency response, crisis management and incident management to meet business and legislative requirements
- Support and manage ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and HiTrust audits certification process from Corporate Security perspective
- Raise awareness and promote a positive Security Health & Safety
- Plan and manage Security budget for Hyderabad sites
- Identify and utilize opportunities for improvement, efficiencies, and cost savings
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in physical security domain
- 5+ years of experience of independently managing physical security domain for multiple sites and/or served in armed forces
- Knowledge of Risk assessment and mitigation framework
- Knowledge of project management related to security domain
- Basic understating of security and safety systems which include ACS, Fire detection and suppression systems
- Proven good people management skills
- Proven vendor management – manage multiple vendors to ensure they deliver as per SLA and scope of agreement
- Proven excellent communication skills to interact with key stake holders and conduct trainings for UHG employees
- Proven ability to design, develop and impart security related awareness programs to team members and employees
- Ability to manage security operations for multiple sites in Hyderabad
- Ability to lead and manage global security operations and projects for all Optum locations in Hyderabad and any other location or acquired entity in future
