As an Associate Director UX Design, you will lead a team and have ownership over a end to end experiences. You will work with other designers, strategists, researchers and content strategists to develop and translate the product strategy into a compelling design vision
Primary Responsibilities:
- Take ownership for a broad set of features or experience or strategic initiative
- Build and distill the broad experience design vision and principles into design opportunities and strategies to solve
- Lead teams in translates abstract concepts and problems into simple, elegant, and innovative designs expressed in sketches, diagrams, and rapid prototypes for responsive, mobile, and conversational channels
- Provide design recommendations based on technical feasibility, usability findings, A11y, legal and design best practices
- Demonstrates curiosity and growth mindset contributing to a product design environment that supports continuous learning and innovation
- Leverages best practice design principles and trends to contribute with insights and stellar user experiences
- Be a trusted design partner in a cross functional team (designers, engineers, product, researchers etc.), delivery designs on time and to the highest quality
- Collaborate and contribute reusable design components in partnership with Design System team
- Work on multiple projects at a time
- Makes research and design decisions that takes into health equity considerations (including but not limited to: disability status, health literacy levels, demographics, cultural backgrounds, etc.) to improve healthcare access for all members
- Supports teams in identifying insights and making design decisions that map to health equity targets and health outcome goals (i.e. clinical quality measures such as HEDIS and STARS)
- Design Strategy and Thought leadership
- Lead teams in exploring emerging opportunities in design and healthcare digital space, evaluate and evangelize as needed
- Driving design thought leadership in the organization
- Skilled navigating ambiguity to lead others get to clarity, alignment, and a pathway forward
- Willingness to constructively challenge current thinking across the enterprise, pushing boundaries and driving change that will deliver exceptional user-centric experiences.

- Effective people leader: Be able to attract, lead, manage and mentor employees to ensure retention, development and exceptional performance

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of hands on experience with information architecture, interaction design, ux design or graphic design
- 6+ years of experience with prominent industry design tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Axure)
- 5+ years of working with cross functional stakeholders including Technology, Product, Operations, Business, Analytics, Voice of the Customer, etc.
- 5+ years of experience presenting to stakeholders
- 5+ years of implementing and maintaining best practices as it relates to the multiple layers and process of design
- 3+ years of planning and facilitating workshops and/or presenting to key partners and decisions makers
- 1+ years of experience managing, mentoring, or providing direction to other UX designers on a project that you led
