Senior Business Data Analyst – Remote

Independently, manage the salesforce data to support analysis done in terms of opportunities and annual planning. Working with the growth team to identify new reports with the sales force data and additional dashboards within the salesforce tool. Performing periodic auditing of the data in salesforce to ensure we are accurately reporting out the appropriate information. In addition, develop methodology, analyze, and publish periodically utilization norms for our customers across several of our quality improvement categories. These norms will be utilized in our network sales as well as by our account management team.

 

Sales Force/Pipeline Management Support

Work with other data sources to manage potential prospects and targets in existing markets with new products and new markets and payors. Coordinate closely with the growth team to provide the analysis and summarize in a way that is insightful and actionable. Manage portfolio of weekly and monthly deliverables.

Identify updates, changes, modifications to the Salesforce program and work with Growth and Operations to operationalize. Identify and/or work with the growth team to identify and implement additional reporting needs.

 

Development of Norms of Provider Usage Patterns

• Develop the methodology to determine provider group usage patterns across different incentives for our provider groups, including accounting for outliers, different types of providers, etc.
• Develop an approach for managing the data needed to calculate the norms
• Analyze and develop norms
• Publish norms periodically and work with
• Identify needs to grow and evolve and associated staffing needs
• Potential opportunity to help build out growing team

 

Additional Support

• Addressing any growth data needs for the Quarterly Business Reviews
• Manage miscellaneous data requests and analysis as requested
• Support data/needs and analysis on special projects

 

Communicate results, both written and verbally to peers, supervisors, and senior management in a clear and concise manner.

Assist with miscellaneous annual mailings throughout the year.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify appropriate data sources, report metrics and tools for providing portfolio of deliverables
• Autonomously identify and execute opportunities for efficiencies and automation in existing tools
• Drive full product lifecycle management, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of new or existing 
• Coordinate with business leads to identify and clearly communicate business needs and priorities to development team and translate into design requirements
• Serve as the coordinator/business liaison between development and the business team. 
• Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues for all team members.
• Performs complex conceptual analyses
• Forecasts and plans resources requirements
• May lead functional or segment teams or projects
• Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
• Own and run key reporting capabilities from tool
• Works with minimal guidance
• Translates concepts not tasks

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a data analytics/reporting role
• Proven expert knowledge of Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Tableau
• Proven process improvement knowledge/experience
• Demonstrated project management knowledge/experience
• Demonstrated analytical review knowledge/experience

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
