As the Associate Director of Healthcare Economics within UHC Medicare & Retirement, you’ll lead a team analyzing Medicare Advantage utilization and cost data to identify and communicate healthcare cost/trend opportunities and risks. You’ll interpret clinical data, recommend transformative approaches, and influence strategic decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide unbiased, data driven clinical program strategy
- Oversight of Cost of Care Analytics and trend analytics
- Perform statistical modeling and analyses
- Present data to guide strategic decisions
- Build strong internal relationships
- Deliver organized analytics and reporting
- Analyze benchmarking data and forecast trends
- Document business, analysis, and reporting requirements
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Serve as a leader and mentor to department analysts

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience identifying and effectively communicating trends in highly complex data
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience working with cost of care analytics
- Experience interacting collaboratively with internal customers across multiple departments and business segments
- Experience prioritizing and documenting work on multiple complex assignments with ongoing deadlines
- Knowledge of statistical methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Biostatistician and/or Healthcare Researcher
- Experience with Medicare Advantage products
- Ability to learn quickly and produce high-quality work
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
