We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator to oversee and optimize enterprise-level job scheduling and workload automation processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the IT environment, ensuring its stability, performance, and alignment with business requirements. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions to streamline IT operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the IT environment, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Design, configure, and manage job schedules, ensuring efficient workflows across systems
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes, reducing manual intervention and improving productivity
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to job failures, performance degradation, and system errors
  • Provide technical support to teams leveraging IT systems for their operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving scheduling and automation processes
  • Implement best practices for workload automation and system integration
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps
  • Generate reports to provide insights into system performance, job completion rates, and error trends
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies related to data handling and system access
  • Implement and monitor security measures within the IT environment
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of workload automation tools and principles
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident management frameworks
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming for task automation (e.g., PowerShell)
  • Proven excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proven solid communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with integrating IT systems with other enterprise tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud-based job scheduling and automation solutions
