The Clinical Administrative Coordinator will work in a high volume, customer service environment and will need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm EST M-F. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional weekends (Saturday/Sunday).

If you are located within the state of Maryland, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with clinics, facilities and the quality team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Initiating outbound and handling inbound calls using a dialer system
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
  • Will work independently

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents/spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Ability to work any of our shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm from Monday – Friday
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (Domestic) within the state of Maryland

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician’s office or medical clinic setting
  • Clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Experience working in a call center
  • Experience working in a metric-based environment

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within the state of Maryland
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
