The Solutions Architect – Integrations & Interoperability is a senior level role that requires experience and demonstratable success in working with clients to build highly secure and performance optimized solution designs. 

 

In this role, you will work across different teams, platforms, systems, applications, and interface types to solution technical architecture for customer delivery programs.  

 

You will be a technical leader within the cross-functional team, passionate about growing technology adoption in the Healthcare, Health Plan, and Life Sciences segments. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of global businesses, financial implications, and are deeply familiar with complex legacy IT environments and new native digital environments.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Infrastructure design and documentation of medical imaging IT orchestration and platform including; interfaces, systems, and interoperability 
  • Discovery of client requirements, assumptions, KPIs and SLAs associated with solutions
  • Establishing architecture standards and practices in the use of integration and interoperability technologies 
  • Serve as an architectural subject matter expert on integration techniques and interoperability standards (EDI, HL7, FHIR, etc.) 
  • Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models 
  • Remain current with industry knowledge, best practices and standards and incorporate applicable technologies and standards into new and existing solutions

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a client facing solution architect or technical solution architect role 
  • 3+ years of experience as a subject matter expert or lead in public, private and hybrid cloud solution design
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare imaging IT with experience in DICOM and HL7 standards 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, preferably in one of the following digital segments: medical imaging, population health management, clinical workflow automation, clinical decision support
  • Proven experience in public cloud, private cloud and hybrid storage and application infrastructure design
  • Experience implementing system architecture best practices for building highly secure and performance optimized solutions 
  • Expertise with solutions, vendors, and customers in medical imaging IT 
  • Deep knowledge of data and interface standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM and others 
  • Proven solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills within a multicultural environment
  • Proven advanced problem solving and critical reasoning skills 
  • Proven solid internal negotiating skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects that might be geographically widespread

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
