Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts. Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts. Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales. Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives (including «OTH» plans) belong in a sales band.

  

The Client Contract Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of client contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely execution of contract-related activities.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Pricing Guarantee Reconciliation: Ensure that pricing guarantees are accurately reconciled and reported
  • Performance Guarantees: Monitor and report on performance guarantees to ensure compliance with contract terms
  • Surveys: Design, distribute, and analyze client satisfaction surveys to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
  • Rebates: Manage the rebate process, including calculation, validation, and disbursement
  • Amendments to Client Contract: Draft, review, and negotiate amendments to client contracts as needed
  • Market Check: Conduct market checks to ensure competitive pricing and terms
  • Contract Extensions: Coordinate and manage the process for contract renewals and extensions
  • Pricing Distribution Form: Prepare and distribute pricing distribution forms to relevant stakeholders
  • Other Supporting Documents: Maintain and organize all supporting documents related to client contracts

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of PBM Strategic Account Executive experience with complex clients
  • Solid understanding of PBM contract terms and conditions
  • Experience with complex contract pricing and guarantees
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid project management experience (developing project plans, managing project timelines, driving project team through project completion) 
  • Experience with client contract addendums processes 
  • Solid knowledge of PBM Product, Programs and Rebates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
