The VP, Cloud Infrastructure is a key leader responsible for the reliability, security, and efficiency of the core cloud infrastructure platform for the Enterprise Imaging business. You will lead a global team of ~50 people accountable for SRE, Cloud Platform Engineering and DevOps.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a business aligned strategic roadmap for cloud services, application reliability (at 99.9%+), security and compliance
- Own the design, implementation, and management of the company’s cloud infrastructure and Enterprise Imaging commercial services
- Lead and manage multiple cloud engineering and SRE teams to ensure cloud environment and application reliability, performance, and compliance
- Oversee DevOps and FinOps to ensure cost effective, reliable, and secure operations
- Manage the performance, availability, and scalability of cloud environments
- Drive reliability management and continuous reliability improvements
- Ensure processes exist for smooth handoff and deployment of new releases, constant monitoring and proactive ability to address potential issues
- Implement best practice industry standards to ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure and commercial services
- Provide direction and motivate team members

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within the Tech Infrastructure domain
- 5+ years of experience and a proven record of success managing production cloud operations for enterprise SaaS or PaaS companies in public clouds such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- 8+ years of experience and a proven record of success managing IT operations teams
- 8+ years of experience and a proven record of success implementing DevOps practices
- Proven team leadership experiences, including demonstrated ability to inspire others, resolve disputes & make hard decisions
- History of directly explaining complex issues to executives (internal, vendors and/or customers) to ensure confidence
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry
- Direct experience deploying GCP-based solutions
- Experience driving a migration from on-prem to cloud-based solutions
- Deep professional network and proven ability to recruit and retain talent

The salary range for this role is $191,800 to $364,800 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
