Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, and migrate databases
- Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions
- Implement ETL processes for data integration and provisioning
- Manage data stores within Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and cloud solutions – Azure
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for data optimization
- Design schemas and write SQL scripts for data analytics and applications
- Ensure data quality and governance standards are met
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Skills
- SQL: Proficiency in SQL for database management and querying
- Python: Solid skills in Python for data manipulation and scripting
- ETL Tools: Proficiency in ETL tools like Talend/ADF/Apache NiFi/DataBricks
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of Azure Cloud
- DevOps Tools: Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
- Security: Vulnerability Fix and remediation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge in data engineering roles with enterprise-scale impact will be an added advantage
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of data governance and quality standards
