As a Capability Manager for Payment Integrity, you are responsible for specific services, functions, and solutions available internally or as a supporting element of a product. Positions in this function play a critical role in ability to deliver products to market and/or manage internal business functions. Capability management requires alignment to business and/or product strategy, effective design and development, and ongoing management of capability portfolio across the full lifecycle to ensure business-specific or cross-enterprise impact. Market insights are leveraged to monitor trends and external landscape, and to inform capability strategies and customer use case scenarios. Positions in this function are accountable for delivering sustainable, financially sound solutions that solve a specific problem and enable successful external product delivery and/or internal business function performance, while driving adoption with internal business clients and define future capability direction that supports business strategy and new opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports end-to-end coordination and alignment for product-related activities
- Drive business work within the Agile process, sharing Business vision
- Understand and translate Features into User Stories that will be groomed and developed by Product Development
- Own the product at a User Story level, using Roadmap and Capabilities as a guide
- Work closely with Optum IT Developments & Architecture, Finance and Business Teams to forecast and attack product-line investments
- Provides oversight of release activities for the Business (i.e. communication, documentation, training and release notes, etc.). Works with the Program / Project Manager, User Acceptance Testing and Operational Readiness leads to ensure all stakeholder needs are addressed in the deployment plan
- Ensures all system business rules and configurations meet regulatory, compliance and operational needs, and facilitates solutions between groups if discrepancies exist
- Benefit quantification related to driving prioritization and describing the value story for the product road map. Capital planning activities.
- Represents Our United Culture missions and values in all activities, demonstrating exemplary customer service with internal and external team members
- Works well in a matrix environment across cross – functional teams

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of leading business / operational activities related to application implementations / development
- 3+ years of experience with Agile processes, including development of user stories and gathering business requirements from client/business stakeholders
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations – payment integrity, claim, and/or provider operations
- Solid proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data
- Proven comfortable driving process mapping, gap analysis and solutioning discussions with business, operations and technology teams
Preferred Qualification:
- Certification in Product Management or Agile scrum
- Lean / Six Sigma trained
- Experience in specific product content area
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to all levels of project governance

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
