JOB TITLE:    Sr Software Engineer

LOCATION:    1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:    Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing. Undertake the product lifecycle including research, proof of concepts, architect, design, develop, test, deploy and maintenance. Design and develop modular, flexible, scalable, secure, reliable and quality solutions that deliver business value through superior user experience; reuse the components wherever possible and sharing of components across organization. Analyze requirements and implement software solutions; analyze existing software functionality and code to identify cause of bugs and design solutions. Create and maintain technical artifacts such as data model and technical design specifications. Design and develop reusable components, frameworks and libraries. Work with Product owners, business analysts, architects, developers and other stakeholders to groom & solution features. Review code and approve code merges, providing technical guidance & best practices. Lead small projects, mentor, train other team members and facilitate onboarding/ongoing training. Provide input to forecasting and planning activities. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS:    Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: Node Package Manager; Angular; Bootstrap; Java; WCAG; Eclipse and VS Code IDEs; GitHub, Junit and Agile; SQL and MySQL; YUI; JQplot; Struts 2; and Sahi.

RATE OF PAY:  $ 158,872.00 – $191,520.00 / per year
