The Social Work Supervisor for Cancer Services provides leadership and supervision for the Social Worker group within the department. The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and development of procedures and care provided by the Social Work staff, and for professional oversight of the discipline. This includes monitoring the competence of staff members and the appropriateness of care provided to patients and their families. This position provides direct supervision of the Social Work practice, assuring service excellence and compliance with all applicable departmental policies, and specific regulations. The Supervisor assists with the hiring and development of new employees, as well as assessment of productivity and appropriateness of team resources. This position is also responsible for the implementation and evaluation of performance improvements projects and related data, clinical procedures, protocols, research, and education of the multi-disciplinary team members regarding social work procedures. The supervisor is responsible for duties including education and mentoring of staff, managing social work clinic coverage and staff schedules. The supervisor may also provide direct patient care as needed. The Supervisor works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including but not limited to physicians, patients, families, Kelsey staff, community services, and other health care systems.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from a university or college accredited by the council of Social Work Education
- Licensed by the Texas Board of Social Work Examiners
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- OSW-C
- 3+ years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker in an oncology setting
- 2+ year of supervisor/management experience and/or related leadership role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Proven ability to work with all ages, socioeconomic and educational levels
- Ability to work independently as needed with specific attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years in Oncology Setting
- EPIC experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
