Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel, including procedures, injections, EKGs and phlebotomy
  • Show patients to exam rooms according to company standards
  • Record patient care documentation in the medical record
  • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
  • Organize exam and treatment rooms, and sterilize instruments

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduate from an Accredited Medical Assistant program OR 3+ years of military trained medical assistant experience
  • Current CPR card OR willing to obtain in 30 days
  • 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting or has completed or is actively enrolled in the MA externship program with OptumCare NV
  • Working knowledge of health insurance: HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid
  • ICD – 9 and CPT coding experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related experience in a medical setting
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) language proficiency

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
