This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This position works from any of our 3 facilities as business needs determine. Our offices are located at 2200 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303, 1006 Ford Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301, 1000 Breckenridge Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

We offer the first 8 weeks (full-time) of paid training. The hours of the training will be 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST from Monday – Friday. Training will be conducted on – site.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs
  • May communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff
  • Communicates with patients and / or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and / or to confirm appointments 
  • Performs insurance verification and / or pre – authorizations as necessary
  • May be responsible for entering patient demographic information and scanning documents into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • May correspond with referring providers and / or patients for reports, information exchange, scheduling, x – rays, and paperwork. The pace is fast, so your ability to multi – task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our customers

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Ability to work onsite at any of our facilities as needed. Our offices are located at 2200 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303, 1006 Ford Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301, 1000 Breckenridge Street, Owensboro, KY 42303
  • Ability to work any shift between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM from Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturdays, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
