This role is responsible for operational management of the IAM HSM’s which protect critical encryption keys for multiple Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms.  These are critical applications, supporting infrastructure components with an increasing demand for client integration; brought on by constantly evolving security requirements.  This individual is responsible for managing a large deployment of hardware security modules (HSM).  HSM’s are specialized security appliances dedicated to generating and protecting encryption keys to the highest degree of integrity and availability.  HSM Operations includes firmware and software updates, client update coordination, application integration, monitoring, management, and backups which require local physical presence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The individual will also be expected to provide operational support for IAM Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which provides critical digital encryption certificate solutions for all applications, domain controllers, smart cards and workstations
  • This role supports the capability to provide secure digital certificates, which are required by all applications and platforms in the company to meet audit, compliance, and security policy requirements enabling secure, encrypted communications, web application authentication, trusted code signing, and secure client authentication.  This is a highly protected environment (Tier 0) which demands high levels of security, data integrity and system availability.  A local presence is required for access to assets located in the Optum datacenters
  • PKI operations also include system configuration management, customer solutions support, application integration, monitoring, management, and backups

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Linux\Windows OS management
  • 3+ years of IT experience in a corporate environment
  • Proven knowledge of information security best practices and processes

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Development/automation experience
  • Encryption key management and HSM experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
