As a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Optum, you’ll be responsible for working with business partners to define and monitor the various data sources supporting the build out of our new Payment Integrity Command Centre. This new capability will be the central data and analytics hub that will monitor the millions of pre-payment and post-payment, clinical and non-clinical medical claim reviews that are performed on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

•    Responsible for defining the data and identifying assets within the own data domains.
•    Creating processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence. This includes establishing internal policies and standards and enforcing those policies.
•    Work with both business and technical SMEs to document business rules and codify them into data quality rules; and support ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of data quality metrics.
•    Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in data use, and provide insight into how and where teams can use data to help in day-to-day decision-making.
•    Ensure compliance and security of the data. Responsible for protecting the data while providing information on potential risks and offering regulatory guidance.
•    Coordinate data integrity solutioning across data sources
•    Collaborate with Optum Ireland’s Offshore Data Centre of Excellence 

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong SQL querying experience
  • Prior experience as a Data Steward for an organization
  • Experience with Data Governance concepts and approaches
  • Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Understand of relational database concepts
  • Ability to analyse data to assist in requirement definition
  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills with ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating good level of maturity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Rally software for agile development
  • Healthcare Experience
  • Knowledge of Payment Integrity operations
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Tableau / PowerBI
