Positions in this function are involved in facilitating and ensuring the organization’s adherence to domestic and international laws, regulations, guidelines, policies, and specifications relevant to its collection, storage, use, and dissemination of data and informational assets to minimize the effects of financial, strategic, operational, and other risks. Positions in this function are also involved in analyzing, educating, and advising clients on information security/risk management topics within their business operations portfolios to help them make the best possible choices relative to risk mitigation. Educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to business partners. Participate in sales and marketing strategy work with internal business partners and/or external clients. Advising on acquired entities and their risk portfolios.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate and respond to internal and external audits and/or RFI/RFPs from prospective customers, existing customers, government and regulatory agencies
  • Facilitate and respond to government audits, including Department of Insurance (DOI)
  • Facilitate and coordinate external and internal audit site visits
  • Facilitate and direct technical issues to appropriate Optum Technology/Infrastructure and application teams, as needed
  • Act as a liaison between auditors and application / business segments
  • Interact directly with Segment Security Information Officers and SMEs to address relevant security audit issues
  • Support and facilitate communication and build trusted relationships with key business contacts including business proposal leaders, SMEs, legal, internal audit, privacy, and compliance to complete requests
  • Provide inputs into optimization programs, process improvements, technology platforms and performance-based metrics and reporting requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience within information security and/or audit related fields or equivalent business and systems analysis experience
  • 3+ years of customer-facing role (e.g. Customer Service and/or Support experience)
  • 2+ years of Project Management / Project coordination experience
  • RFP/ RFI experience
  • Manage multiple concurrent high-level priorities, facilitating meetings, and coordinating Audit deliverables

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Audit certification
  • Broad knowledge of Optum Technology and UHG/Optum/UHC businesses
  • Proven executive level reporting and communication, excellent presentation skills and oral and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills related to application and customer inquiries
  • Proven influence and motivate teams required to interact with auditors

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
