Senior Software Engineer – Python, Jenkins, Django or fastAPI

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support devops work on Chef team
• Helping the application teams using the chef product in developing cookbooks using ruby DSL. Working on automations built around the chef ecosystem to support the adoption on large scale. Working on products built using Jenkins, stackstorm and Python API framework
• Integrate the services to UI (reactJS)
• Evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies
• Automation of common tasks
• Build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology & solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in all phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support
• Good experience on python programming
• Working experience on Django/fastAPI applications
• Experience on using GitHub for code management
• Knowledge on Jenkins
• Knowledge about chef/ansible
• Additional Skill:
  • Knowledge on Splunk
  • Knowledge on application deployment on to K8s
  • Knowledge on Agile development processes
