As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be partnering up with market facing strategic product managers, other technical product managers, technical product owners, engineering and operations team to drive a platform strategy across OptumInsight. You will own or actively contribute to the technology delivery roadmap for specific products, and ensure the product solutions have a high degree of predictability, quality and stability while positioned to support rapid client growth and time to market. You will be accountable to ensure a holistic, integrated solution delivery, by creating detailed implementable features, identifying solution dependencies and risks, defining a solid business architecture, coordinating with architects on the solution architecture, and influencing technical product owners and development teams. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements across the technology assets
  • Identify and drive technology reuse and platform reuse opportunities
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of API documentation, guides, and tutorials
  • Drive day-to-day prioritization of work operations, projects and scope, troubleshoot reported issues 
  • Own specific deliverables to take the product from ideation through implementation and governance approvals 
  • Lead JAR & JAD sessions with cross functional teams. 
  • Develop, maintain and present detailed execution plans and features delivery roadmaps for meeting business objectives, across program increments 
  • Actively drive capital management and track resource planning across teams, to ensure optimal delivery of product features and business value realization 
  • Influence a highly matrixed set of teams across operations, product strategy, engineering and delivery partners to constantly track the performance and improve the products
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent  
  • 5+ years of experience in the development of applications in an Agile environment as a Product manager or engineer 
  • 5+ years of experience translating business requirements into a detailed system specification 
  • 3+ years of experience implementing solutions using third party APIs and SDKs 
  • 3+ years of experience in leading the solution strategy and implementation of large scale solutions 
  • 2+ years in one or more areas: 
    • Cloud Digital Communications, e.g. Email and SMS services – SES, Pinpoint or similar svc
    • Account definition, assess and multi-tenancy for API-based services
    • Cost and price modeling
    • AWS and other cloud hosted solutions
    • API management/Governance
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Soap UI/postman, SQL 
  • Deep understanding of API best practices and solid opinions on how to implement improvements 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams 
  • Demonstrated ability analyze, correlate and drive decisions from big data assets 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFE / Scrum Certification
  • Experience working with technology upgrade projects, handling large scale volume data and healthcare operations 
  • Proven excellent written and verbal skills
