Will be an expert in Optum Analytics data processing, methodology, attribute logic and product workflows/functionality in order to comprehensively support application users developing innovative US healthcare use cases within Optum Analytics Product Suite.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will drive client issues to resolution by identifying the root of the issue, engaging clients for required feedback, escalating to internal team members (if appropriate) and tracking data fixes or enhancements through to successful release into the product
  • Will communicate directly with clients to resolve questions and issues in a timely and consultative manner
  • Will understand the data transformation process and work closely with Data Ops team members to ensure end to end resolutions of data improvements
  • Will understand US healthcare industry priorities and the direct correlation between Optum Analytics Products and issues clients are facing in the market
  • Will be a resource for Production Support, Training, and Client Management teams to allow for holistic support of our clients across the Client Services team
  • Will escalate Product feedback, issues, and enhancements to the Optum Analytics Product team to encourage appropriate development and growth of products in line with client needs
  • Will work on projects focused on continuous improvement of the application support model and associated processes using appropriate technologies
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or other related field in technology
  • 5+ years of experience working with data, analyzing data and understanding data
  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL. Ability to understand and query large data sets using SQL and query optimization skills
  • Experience managing clients or working with clients on tasks like requirements gathering, impact analysis and UAT testing for production support
  • Understanding of US healthcare provider market and vocabulary and basic procedures for working with US healthcare claims and provider data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity or experience working with AWS/Azure on Cloud or Big Data concepts
  • Experience in tools like Salesforce and Rally
  • Any other data analysis language (SAS, R)
