Data Engineering Lead – Azure Admin

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage high-availability Azure cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and security
- Implement and monitor Azure resources including virtual networks, storage, and Azure Active Directory
- Build an extensible Environment and manage VMs, VM scale sets, containers analytics compute environment with Azure Data bricks that can used directly by the end user
- Implement Azure governance and security practices, including RBAC, policies, Managing Cluster and Azure Security Center
- Manage pipelines for CI/CD and Release Management workflows / GitHub-Jenkins integration and deployment through Terraform
- Prioritize modularity, reusability, and componentization of solutions
- Work collaboratively with a distributed cross org team of engineers, architects, and data analysts
- Support products that are live in the cloud by building monitoring and testing tooling, responding to real time customer reported incidents, monitoring for errors and performance impacting events, and defining best practices for operational readiness
- This role will habitually interact with internal and external customers on security-related projects and operational tasks

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of overall experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with a team
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure
- 3+ years of experience with Terraform
- 3+ years of experience doing analytics platform/infrastructure work
- Experience with PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps for automation
- Experience of working on Azure key vault/Kubernetes secrets/Hashicorp vault
- Experience with a range of Azure native monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling: Activity Log, Network Monitoring, Security Center, Log Analytics, Metrics Explorer, etc.
- Experience designing security, performance, and operational monitoring and alerting systems and processes
- Experience with open-source monitoring and operations tools
- Experience in support/operations/monitoring role
- Experience working in Windows/Unix/Linux environments
- Experience integrating with disparate data sources
- Experience in migrating existing on-prem product to cloud
- Experience and understanding of modern Identity & Access Management concepts and best practices
- Cloud monitoring experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, and Log Analytics and cost monitoring of Workspace or other open-source tools
- Healthcare IT experience with compliance such as HIPAA and/or HITRUST, experience with security controls
- Expert of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices for Azure cloud services
- Proven ability to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, Git Actions, and Terraform
- Proven excellent analytical and Communication skills (Both Verbal and Written)
- Willing or flexible to collaborate with US team, during US business hours
- Willing or flexible to support project releases, during US business hours
Preferred Qualification:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure certification
