The Associate Director Talent Acquisition manages the day-to-day operations of the department while providing wholistic view of manpower demand and TA strategy. On an ongoing basis, the Associate Director Talent Acquisition, assigns Recruiter workloads, ensuring that open positions receive adequate coverage.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing of target profiles and managing candidate flow
  • Interview and evaluate candidates utilizing consistent templates and processes, leveraging behavioral interviewing techniques and assessment techniques
  • Clearly articulate the “Life’s Best Work” employee value proposition at all times when communicating with candidates and HM’s
  • Build credible presence with Hiring Managers and candidates; and has the ability to answer questions about the enterprise and the industry
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business and plans and the likely impact on recruiting needs
  • Advise business managers on active and passive recruiting options to identify high caliber candidates
  • Liaise with external recruitment agencies, negotiating rates and agency agreements
  • Consulting with hiring managers to advise on the status of current and future positions
  • Involved in setting strategic direction to establish near-term goals for your team and function
  • Work in calibration with subordinate teams and senior management levels at a client and/or within Optum, involving negotiating or influencing on significant matters
  • Drive team to be compliant and ensure all processes are followed as per audit guidelines
  • Be able to work on weekend drives if required
  • Assist Hiring Manager in evaluating candidates by coaching on selection and behavioral interviewing techniques, offer negotiation, and overall process troubleshooting – including review and consultation of internal salary reference points, market compensation tables, and market intelligence to recommend offer package components
  • Adopt Leader Point of View and expresses concerns and shares ideas using constructive communication techniques
  • Execute on core TA processes as defined by the SLA for the role
  • Work with TA Operations team to initiate offer processing including background screening
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree
  • 15+ years of corporate recruitment experience
  • Proficiency in marketing/sourcing techniques to include internet, college alumni, interactive strategies, and social media
  • Intermediate proficiency with ATS system
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
