Data Engineer – Remote EST

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems to support our Snowflake data warehouse
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability
• Performance Optimization: Optimize query performance and storage usage within the Snowflake environment
• Data Modeling: Create and manage logical and physical data models that support business requirements and analytics needs
• Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide reliable solutions
• Automation: Implement data automation processes to streamline data loading, transformation, and validation
• Security: Ensure data privacy and security compliance within the Snowflake environment
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data systems, processes, and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Experience with Snowflake data warehouse solutions
• Experience with ETL tools and processes
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or other programming languages
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Proven excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proven solid communication and collaboration skills

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
