Manager Software Engineering- DOT NET
Essential Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of Engineering Manager is to support software solutions as per production support SLA compliance guidelines. Engineering Manager also works closely with the Production Support stakeholders towards Incidents, Service Request, Monitoring, Regular Jobs, Permanent fixes. Shall have deep and mature understanding of complete software development life cycle & Support life cycle and shall possess demonstrable ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
· Application Support – Provide user support for business applications. Effectively communicate with users to answer questions and resolve urgent requests.
· Actively participate in war room to resolve & permanently fix critical incidents impacting business users.
· Set up matured Monitoring processes to proactively identify possible issues in system and take corrective action.
· Perform Root Cause Analysis on repetitive incidents and fix them to reduce Incident Influx.
· Effectively Communicate to Business users, Customers, Stakeholders about status of current work tasks.
· Design, implement and maintain highly scalable microservices within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on Microsoft Azure
· Establish, refine, and integrate CI/ CD, feature testing automation, performance testing as needed. Good understanding of Infrastructure as code
· Design and Estimate – Based on requirement definitions, recommend solutions with pros and cons. Create design documents with estimates of time to complete.
· Work with Senior Engineering Manager/Business Leader to review requirements and design documents to ensure that project deliverables are met.
· Project Delivery – Identify and communicate issues or risks with project deliverables.
· Recommend possible technical solutions for issues and/or problems encountered when work on a project.
· Advise the Lead on information technology matters.
· Identify production and non-production application issues
· Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications, public cloud infrastructure cost, best cloud practices, scalability, high availability
· Provide technical leadership, design, and code review, serve as a mentor to less experienced developers Analyzes and investigates
· Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise
· Bring “continuous improvement” mindset to the team and encourage learning and professional growth
· Ability to see the broader picture and the impact of changes to all parts of the system. Ability to quickly code and test the changes.
Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
§ 8 – 12. years IT experience in a software development environment.
§ Experience in system design and building secure distributed applications.
§ Proven analysis, design, and programming experience.
§ Strong technical knowledge in Microsoft .NET and related technologies.
§ Ability to understand database structures and be able to manipulate, extract, and update data.
Shift Time
§ Candidate should be open to work in 3.30 PM to 1.00 AM IST shift.
Skills
Engineering Manger must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must Have Technology Skills
§ Clear and demonstrable understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and distributed system architecture.
§ Strong experience in ASP.NET MVC 4 and above, C#, ADO.NET, Web API, .NET Core
§ Entity Framework and SQL Server.
§ Strong experience in client-side technology JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.
§ Extensive experience in web services, API security best practices.
§ Strong Deployment experience using IIS, DevOps
§ Experience creating stored procedure, database views, triggers, indexes.
§ Understand the concepts and best practices of DevOps and modern CI/CD.
Nice to have Experience
· VB.NET, Junit, Kafka, Angular
Additional Experience
§ Ability to quickly analyze requirements and recommend multiple solutions with pros and cons.
