This is a strategically important position has significant impact to grow the business. The Proposal Development Manager leads the development a team of pharmacy proposal services team members who manage a large volume of proposal requests. The Proposal Development Manager works closely with leadership, operations, and other partnering team members. This role includes all aspects of the proposal services development following industry best practices, concentrating on proposal process and ongoing staff development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the offshore proposal team
- Ability to engage team members in a cross-functional, virtual environment
- Provide guidance and direction to the proposal team according to Policy & Procedures of each position
- Understand organizational policies and procedures for staff management
- Prepare status reports and briefings for leadership
- Identify, document, implement, and support continual proposal process improvement
- Responsible for ensuring the team’s projects are delivered accurately and on-time.
- Escalate risks associated with assigned projects and RFPs
- Participate in relevant training opportunities that will enhance both individual performance and overall team performance
- Demonstrate solid leadership and judgment
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience writing RFPs preferably in health care or pharmacy industry
- Experience using RFP templates and/or tools, such as RFPIO/Responsive
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid attention to detail
- Flexible, proactive and able to cope with changing conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and SharePoint
- Proven excellent computer skills and able to learn/adapt to company-specific computer program
Preferred Qualification:
- 2+ years experience managing like size team
