The Senior Administrative Assistant will support the Community & State Central HP Health Plan CEO, and the leadership team in Michigan.  This role will include more traditional administrative/clerical support roles including: answering the telephone, typing/word processing of documents, maintaining calendars and setting up meetings, making travel arrangements, copying, faxing, greeting visitors, setting up files, tracking expenses, and coordinating building and equipment maintenance.

This is a fast-paced working environment that requires the ability to multitask with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

This position will also have BSL (Business Segment Liaison) responsibilities including: New hire onboarding / offboarding, equipment ordering and set-up, software purchases and office supply ordering. Senior Administrative work will involve direct client interaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create / maintain calendars and coordinate meetings avoiding scheduling conflicts      
  • Sorting letters and checking for errors; batching for mailing as a team resource for distributing hard copies as needed; monitors printers     
  • Maintain compliance with turnaround times based on the member’s product, the type of request and the specific regulatory agency     
  • Create / prepare meeting materials (e.g., PowerPoint deck; agendas) and ensure distribution to appropriate individuals in a timely manner        
  • Schedule, coordinate, and/or set up resources and technology needed for meetings / events    
  • Make travel arrangements for meeting attendees and host, coordinate, and/or facilitate meetings / external events as needed    
  • Complete special projects and call DSNP or Medicaid members
  • Complete and correctly submit required Service Requests to support department needs      
  • Track requests for on-time completion      
  • Take proactive measures to prevent missed deadlines          
  • Support Senior team members in preparing presentations and other duties as assigned   
  • Participate from time to time in call campaigns
  • SharePoint administrator
  • Coordinating office supplies for the team
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Notary Public certification or ability to become certified
  • 3+ years of administrative support to senior leadership in a corporate setting
  • Intermediate level or greater proficiency in MS office, especially Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Segment Liaison (BSL) or onboarding experience or ability to become certified as a UnitedHealthcare BSL    
  • SharePoint experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrix organization
  • Proven solid focus and accountability for customer service
  • Proven detail oriented and consistently complete projects that are thorough, accurate and timely manner
  • Polished demeanor and be comfortable working with people at all level  

The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
