Quality Engineer – Java API Testing

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary IT resource for medium-size projects to large-size projects
- Ensure that development standards and procedures are adhered to
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for tasks
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly and solve problems
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Undergraduate degree in IT field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of automated testing experience in Java
- 3+ years working with RESTful services and cross-browser testing
- 2+ years working with relational databases
- 2+ years working in an Agile environment
- Expertise developing automated test scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, with integration to Jenkins and Sauce labs
- Proven experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using Selenium
WebDriver using Java - Experience testing GUI applications, web services and/or web applications (Backend and frontend)
- Experience testing REST services
- Experience in Automation ATDD framework implementation
- Good hands-on experience in writing Oracle queries, should be able to write DML statements.
- Good hands-on experience in Java for automating test cases
- Experience in relational databases
- Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in Agile development
Environments - Experience developing Java code with latest web design concepts
- Good understanding of multiple test automation frameworks and Dev Ops
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of the audience
- Detail oriented with the ability to work with others during time constraints to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
