Transplant Contract Manager – Remote

The Transplant Contract Manager develops single case agreements with out-of-network transplant providers and programs that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Transplant Contract Managers evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining solid business relationships with Hospitals and Physician Groups.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Respond to and complete requests for single case agreements in a timely manner
• Analyze, evaluate and develop appropriate reimbursement rates based on market need
• Negotiate single case agreements to completion
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:        

• 3+ years of experience in a network management related role – I.E  contracting or provider services
• 2+ years of healthcare ancillary or physician contracting experience (hospital preferred) 
• 2+ years of experience utilizing financial models and analysis in negotiating rates with providers
• Knowledge of Medicare Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS), DRGs (diagnostic related groups), Ambulatory Surgery Center Groupers, etc.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
• At least an intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel
• At least an intermediate level of knowledge of claims processing systems and guideline

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using Facets
• Experience within the transplant industry

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
