Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpreting business needs and applying innovative technology solutions
- Work effectively in a matrix organization with teams of architects, scrum teams, and business partners with minimal supervision
- Express ideas verbally and in writing to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives
- Resolve and influence the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
- Provide architecture design, recommendations, blue-print and roadmaps for the product capabilities supported by this role
- Work with the Agile delivery teams to ensure that features are sufficiently groomed including the creation of solution intent documentation in advance of agile planning sessions
- Provide strategic and tactical architecture direction to delivery teams aligning to product and program roadmaps
- Prepare materials for Architectural Review Boards that demonstrate the alignment of the software delivery to enterprise practices and roadmap
- Lead change and innovation. Be a catalyst for business transformation and modernization through disruptive technology innovations
- Provide industry, technology and market expertise and thought leadership to support and guide business decisions around strategic investments for the assigned product family
- Decompose complex business strategies into initiatives relatable to each product family and product capabilities, to enable efficient architecture road mapping and solutions
- Work across organizational silos to resolve dependencies and accelerate product architecture and solution decisions
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience with primary focus on enterprise-level technology strategy, product strategy, solution architecture, data architecture, and integration architecture
- 6+ years of full lifecycle software engineering experience using agile frameworks
- 3+ years of architectural experience in Healthcare, primarily in the Payer and Provider space, of creating capability, project and program level architecture solutions and implementation roadmaps including transition states
- 3+ years of proven expertise of managing and interacting with cross-functional matrixed teams
- Experience managing relationships, coalitions and communications with senior business and technology leaders to influence desired outcomes without direct authority
- Working knowledge and experience in any or all of the following business and technology areas: Cloud, AI/ML, Data management, Data streaming technologies, event-based architecture, NoSQL and NewSQL technologies, APIs, microservices, SOA, Rules engines/BPMs, data architecture and governance
- Proven success driving business technology strategies that lead to product distinction
- Proven ability to understand how to navigate a complex organization, understand the big picture, and interface with external teams to leverage technology in alignment with our strategies
- Proven ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or STEM related field
- Experience working with Claim adjudication platforms including COTS products like Facets, QNXT, Healthedge, etc.
- Experience in legacy modernization from Mainframe to modern technologies
- Experience using HL7/FHIR, Healthcare EDI formats
- Experience with Agile Product development process; SAFE Agile certified
- Global team experience
- Domain Driven Design experience
- Solid Healthcare domain knowledge on End-to-End Claim life cycle including Adjudication
- Proven ability to work on multiple large-scale technology initiatives concurrently
- Proven exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Proven excellent analytical and collaboration skills and techniques to create innovative market leading solutions
- Proven excellent time management, communication, decision making and presentation skills
